Sorry No Photos :(

This was a fabulous week!!!!

No time to write, but I love you all to the moon and back!

I’m in San Pedro and loving it!  Super tranquillo!!!  The members are incredible and we are teaching a lot of really amazing families.  I love teaching families.

I was worried about training but all is well.  My trainee knew Spanish before she came, so she’s teaching me!  Her name is Hermana Meldrum and she is incredible.  She has an amazing way of teaching and she always follows the Spirit. We are working really hard and doing our best to be obedient.

I miss Villa Mella, and miss all of the missionaries and investigators and members there.  But I’m happy to be in this next adventure here in San Pedro.  The members here are so faithful and strong.  Their spirits amaze me!!!

Love you guys!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

I don’t even know where to begin. CRAZY week. I am crazy tired and my head is fsdñfksdjfkasldjfsdklfsdfksdlfsdklfj. Yes like that =) First of all Hermana Morales is gone =( Yesterday was her last day in the mission. She’s in the office today and will be in Guatemala tomorrow. I’m with Hermana Jacobs and Romero.  I will miss Hermana Morales so much. She was an extraordinary companion, and friend. She truly is a disciple of Jesus Christ.

So transfers are tomorrow. I thought for sure I’d be staying to teach the area to another missionary, but I was wrong. I’m getting sent to San Pedro, el campo! (the countryside).  I’m very sad to leave Villa Mella and all the people I love here. It’s really hard, especially to leave those I am teaching. But I know the Lord has work for me to do in San Pedro.

But the craziest news is that I am going to finish the 2nd half of training a new missionary in San Pedro! What??? I just finished my training. I have no idea how to train another missionary! I’m also scared because we are both still learning Spanish. But I know the Lord has a plan for me. I will go and I will do what the Lord has asked of me because I know the Lord doesn’t command us to do anything unless He has a way for us to accomplish it. Even though I’m scared, I’m very excited to have another adventure and meet more wonderful people and serve the Lord the best I can, and learn and grow a ton.

We also went to the temple this week. Amazing.
And we had an Hermanas activity.
Great week
Love you all lots
Mission life is crazy, but it’s the best!

I know that my Savior lives

Con amor

PS I love speaking Spanish

Woohoo!!!

Just another week in Paradise =)

Ive decided I have an addiction to mangoes and platanos and avacado. I should probably get that fixed but I just can't help myself.

Sorry there aren't any pictures this week. I didn't take any this week. But there is a ton happening next week so if I have a functioning computer I'll send some next week.

This is mine and Hermana Morales last week together. She is going home to Guatemala next week. I love being companions with Hermana Morales. She is so chill and easy to get along with. But more importantly, I have learned so much from her. She is such an amazing example to me. She is constantly serving in small and simple ways. Never for recognition but truly because she is a disciple of Christ. She loves those she serves, she loves her Savior and she teaches with the Spirit, always. I've learned lots of Spanish from her too. haha

I've reflected a lot these past few weeks at how blessed I have been these first two transfers on my mission. My first trainer was in her 2nd to last transfer. My second trainer is in her last transfer. And the other 3 people I've lived with have all been in their last 3 transfers. I have learned so much from these amazing and experienced Hermanas. I know that most missionaries don't get this opportunity and I am trying to put into practice all of the unique lessons I have learned from Hermana Hansen, Morales, Barrington, Romero and Jacobs.

We have been working a lot with Jerri these past couple of weeks. His desire to learn about and follow the example of Jesus Christ amazes me. He has such faith. He puts into practice everything we teach. I hope I can watch him make the next step of following Christ and be baptized and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. This work really is amazing.

I love Villa Mella. I hope I have at least one more transfer here. But we´ll just have to wait and see what the Lord has in store for me. I'm happy to go wherever he wants me =)

Love you lots!!!

Con much amor,
Hermana Hansen

Greetings from Villa Mella!

Hey Y'all!!!!

Another great week has passed in Villa Mella :) Oh how I love it here. We were exploring a part of our area we'd never been to (which there is a lot of). This area is HUGE! I feel like I’d need my whole mission to discover it all and a lifetime to contact it all.  I thought to myself how blessed I am to serve here in such an amazing place.  This country is absolutely beautiful.  More than I can describe.  And not just the landscape. The food, the language, but most of all the people!! There are none equal. So many of the people I teach live in such humble circumstances.  Some of them really have nothing, but they are so happy and loving and open.  I am learning so much from them and their incredibly strong spirits.

The work here is progressing. Watching my investigators come unto Christ and begin to know Him is the best part of being a missionary. Each day we try to find and teach people who the Lord has prepared to receive His gospel and come unto Him.  I am so blessed to be the messenger of such a sacred & marvelous message.

The photo is of a zone conference we had. The talks given were amazing! The picture is of my zone, Elder y Hermana Martinez and Presidente and Hermana Corbitt. I am blessed with such amazing leaders.

This week we get to go to the temple. I can’t wait! There is such a beautiful spirit there.

I love you guys to the moon and back!

Have a fabulous week! Thank you for all of your prayers. I feel their strength often.

Love

Hermana Hansen.

One of the best :)

Saludo a todos!!!

I feel like this is how I start every letter, but...... I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY!!!!!

Yesterday, I taught one of my very favorite lessons since I’ve been on my mission. We were teaching the Plan of Salvation-the plan our Heavenly Father has created for us so that we can return to live with Him and our families forever with all of the blessings He has. We were teaching Jerri and Simon. They are two brothers from Haiti, and they are here studying in the DR. We were teaching them about where we come from, what our purpose is on Earth, and what will happen to us after we die. The Spirit was so strong during our lesson. As we taught, they had a lot of questions, but as we answered they kept saying, "Wow, really? God is so merciful!"

Whenever I teach, I always focus on God's love for us. I told them, Yes God is merciful! He loves each of us so much. He has created a plan that makes it possible for EACH of His children, who choose, to make their way back to Him. This plan is possible through the atonement of Jesus Christ.  None of us will be forgotten.

It was the most beautiful thing to watch them realize God's infinite love and mercy. I am amazed and feel blessed to be the messenger of such a beautiful message of truth.

I love you guys!

I can’t believe Collin is home!! I know that my mission is going to fly, and I want to make every minute count!

DIOS NOS AMA!

Les quiero mucho,

Carrie
